Dutch/Flemish-German Transboundary study

For the H3O-PLUS area, data is enclosed on:
* Hydraulic properties of the cross-border hydrogeological units
* Groundwater quality patterns
* Water balance terms and fluxes
* Trends in groundwater heads
* Management strategies on different sides of borders.
The data on groundwater quality and groundwater heads are made accessible through two groundwater viewers which enable maps and cross-sectional views and dedicated visualization options.

Hydrodynamic model area

The TRANSFLUX project aimed to assess groundwater flow patterns and groundwater head distributions for the cross-border area between Poland and Lithuania. The results of a hydrodynamic model can be assessed through reports and contour maps of groundwater heads and flow directions.

Pilot study areas

The CHAKA project aimed to define an improved characterization framework and typology of karst and chalk aquifers over Europe. A Karst Typology Tool was tested based on data of 16 pilot areas over Europe.

Volumes and depths of prime European aquifers

The Pan-EU groundwater resources map give information about volumes and depths of the prime aquifers in the countries of the participating surveys. Subselections can be based on hydrogeofacies types, geological age and aquifer types.

Reports

The Pan-EU Groundwater resources maps were made following a procedure which is described in the deliverables of GeoERA RESOURCE WP6.
Information about the applied harmonized procedure can be found under D6.2-D6.4. Deliverable 6.5 uses the outcomes of the study to estimate water balance terms of European groundwater in order to investigate sustainable use and resilience of the EU groundwater at first-level NUTS areas. Information about the method used in the individual countries are described in D6.6.

Aquifiers with lithology 1:1.5M (IHME 1500)

The International Hydrogeological Map of Europe, scale 1:1 500 000 (IHME1500) is a series of general hydrogeological maps comprising 30 map sheets, partly with explanatory notes, covering nearly the whole European continent and parts of the Near East.
